| Outlook Express Folder Download Setup |
| Note: Always replace @yourdomain.com or .yourdomain.com
with the domain name at the end of your email address in the instructions
below. |

- With Outlook Express open, click Tools on the menu bar and choose Accounts.
- Click Add.
- Click Mail.
- In the Display Name window type your name as you want it to appear in your e-mail (ie. Joe Smith).
- My incoming mail server is a POP3 server.
- In the Incoming Mail (POP3) window type mail.yourdomain.com.
- In the Outgoing Mail (STMP) window type mail.yourdomain.com, click next.
- In the Account Name window type your full email address, but add {in:junk} at the end (i.e. joe@starliteinternet.com{in:junk}).
- In the Password window type your password.
- Click the Remember password check box.
- Click next, then Finish.
- You should be at the Inernet Accounts window once again.
- Click Properties.
- On the General Tab type the email address (i.e. joe@starliteinternet.com) in the top box under Mail Account (just above User Information).
- Click the Servers Tab.
- Check the box at the bottom that says My Server Requires Authentication.
- Click Settings
- Select Log on using and enter the following settings:
- Enter your e-mail account without the {in:junk} (i.e. joe@starliteinternet.com).
- Enter your password.
- Click OK.
- Click Close.

- Move to Spam Folder Setup:

- To separate out emails tagged as spam and valid emails, you need to set up an Outlook rule that moves all messages from your online spam folder to your local spam folder.
- First, make sure you have a spam folder to receive these emails. If there is no spam folder listed, click on Local Folders then File...New...Folder.
- In the Folder Name field type spam. Click OK.
- To set up the rule, click Tools...Message Rules...Mail.
- In the 'Select the Conditions for your rule' , click the box next to 'Where the message is from the specified account'.
- That text should appear in the bottom box.
- Click the 'specified' link in the bottom box and select the account from the drop box that you just set up (i.e. joe@starliteinternet.com{in:junk}). Click OK.
- Click Add.
- Click OK.
- In the 'Select the Actions for your rule' , click the box next to 'Move it to the specified folder'.
- That text will appear in the bottom box. Click the 'specified folder' link in that text and select the 'spam' folder. Click OK.
- In the 'Name of the Rule' field type 'Spam Filtering'.
- Click OK.
- Click OK.
- The next time you check mail, all messages from your online spam folder should now appear in the spam folder on your computer.
