Why Your Comcast.net Emails are Being Blocked
If you have a Comcast email account, you may find that you have not received an email from one of our customers that you have been expecting, or ,if you have an account hosted by Starlite Internet, you may receive a message similar to the following:
Server response to MAIL FROM: 550-66.118.18.10 blocked by ldap:ou=rblmx,dc=comcast,dc=net 550 Comcast does not support the direct connection to its mail servers from residential IPs. Your mail should be sent to comcast.net users through your ISP. Please contact your ISP or mail administrator for more information. |
You received this message because Comcast takes it upon itself to 'blacklist' legitimate emails and never explains why.
Comcast has blacklisted the Starlite Internet mail server on numerous occasions. They have never provided an explanation why they have done so, and have never provided a method for being identified as a proper sender to their users.
What can you do to help resolve this issue?
You need to complain to Comcast that they are improperly blocking emails from the server address [66.118.18.10] that are important to you.
What can Comcast email users do about this??
This is an extremely poor business practice! We suggest you complain to your Comcast customer service rep. If they won't listen, well... if your email service relies on a company that won't let you decide what kind of mail you want, you should consider getting a new email provider.
